Hello, and welcome to my Western Art page. Growing up in the Texas
panhandle and living in Vernon, Texas for several years,
I have seen a lot of ranching country,
infact some of the subjects in the paintings below are from
the W.T. Waggoner Estate or the Waggoner Ranch near Vernon..
So, please scroll across my Texas page and hopefully you will find a
special scene to suit your decor.

When Day is Done ©

36x48 inch original $1,800.
As an employee of the Waggoner Ranch I have had the
opportunity to enter my art in the competition during the
North Texas Rehab Ranch Round Up held in Wichita Falls,
Texas. The round up features area ranches competing,
not only
in rodeo competition, but also in cooking, crafts, photography, talent
and fine art. I did this painting for the show and won
first place.
The ranch actually had a small red chuck wagon.
I painted the three d brand in the stars in the sky - which is rather
vague, but adds a personal touch to the scene.
The 3 d's are also
painted on the red trash barrels. The original is still available
as well as canvas reproductions. |

Happy Moments
by
Carolyn Altman
The idea of this painting began with a parade during the
4th of July celebration in Clarendon, Texas.
There was a couple dressed in cowboy and cowgirl attire on stilts. I took a picture of them and in the picture on the left sitting on the side walk was a friend of mine in a large straw hat. I
changed the faces of the "stilt couple" to faces of my parents when
they were young. The little girl to the right is my sisters granddaughter. The small child in the middle is me, when I was two. I look at this painting and it just makes me smile, so I call it Happy Moments.
The original is done in acrylic
and is 24x48 inches.
It is $2400.
Frame included on the original.

I was asked by a young mother-to-be to create a baby memory
book with a western theme.
This started a whole line of memory books
which I now
call Glory Bee. Two of the books are Retro Cowgirl and Little
Buckaroo.
Each book has art work for your child's room. Click
on the pictures above
view these themes as well as "Little Farmer",
"Wee Little
One - American Born", Rain Forrest - Wonder of a Sweet Baby's
Birth and Precious.
All items are sold exclusively through Carolyn's Creations and
